Stuck on an update error
If Zoryn shows “Update Error!” every time you check for updates, this 30-second tool resets the update cache.
Quit Zoryn.
Click the Zoryn icon in your menu bar, then choose Quit.
Run the repair tool.
Download the disk image, open it, then double-click
repair-zoryn.command. It finishes in about 30 seconds.Reopen Zoryn and try again.
Click the menu bar icon and choose Check for Updates. The next check should go through.
What it touches, and what it doesn't
- Touches:
~/Library/Caches/ai.zoryn.app/org.sparkle-project.Sparkle— the update cache. - Does not touch: your transcription history, settings, license, recordings, or
/Applications/Zoryn.app. - Requires no admin password or sudo.
- Sends no data over the network.
For the curious
Zoryn-Repair.dmg is signed with Apple Developer ID (NeuraOptima LLC, team 78274977BG) and notarized by Apple, so Gatekeeper opens it without warnings.
